Creative Expression

Each one of us has a creative nature. After all it is we who create our lives through our choices, the way we see the world and how we engage with life. 

"We are creativity creating creation" is something my maestro don Oscar says. I hold this as a truth. 

There is a difference between making art and creative expression. Creative expression as used in the lodge is meant to help one gain access to the subconscious mind, it helps in creating a visual dialogue with the body/mind complex as well as creating a relationship with the creative nature that we are. 

As children we did not have to be taught how to engage the imagination. We have an inherent wisdom when it comes to playful acts of imagination. 

When we come back to this part of us, it is so freeing. It changes our perspective and allows us to see the world through a new lens. That the world is and can be a magical, mystical and wondrous place. 

Healing can happen on a lot of levels when we engage the creative aspects of ourselves and reclaim our creative nature. 

Unfortunately, a lot of us have trauma around our creativity. We were told to color inside the lines, we were given the judgement of what is good/bad and right and wrong about our expressions. 

I am passionate about supporting others to find their creativity once again and return to being the creative geniuses that we truly are. 

I have been a creator of images for about 30 years. It was during my time in art school that I discovered I had some early childhood trauma that needed attending to.  Through this discovery began my journey of healing- A journey that led me to creative expression, energy work, core belief work and eventually body work and cross-cultural shamanism. 

I believe that my work demonstrates my journey through the darkness of trauma to the freedom and playfulness that my healing has provided to me. 

I am passionate about creativity, imagination and our power to heal and be the fullest expression of who we are and live that in the world.
