The Mesa at the Cosmic Dreaming Lodge
What is a Mesa?
The Mesa of which I am custodian is a PachaKuti Mesa. Literally meaning world reversal (Pacha- world Kuti- reversal). This an altar-like arrangement of sacred objects that is from two different Peruvian Shamanic lineages in which my Maestro don Oscar Miro-Quesada was initiated. Through Sacred Ceremonial Artistry, we as keepers of the wisdom of this tradition activate a global medicine field of healing, love and cosmic truth. Each Mesa carrier is called to this tradition and are given the tools and instructions to perform ceremonies and healing rituals that have been handed down through the generations from one curandero to the next.
We are at an important turning point in our development as humans on the planet. We are remembering who we are and our connection to our mother. It is through this tradition and its wisdom teachings that we can develop a deep relationship with Pachamama and all our relations in the cosmos.
The Cosmic Dreaming Lodge was created to help us remember ourselves as stewards of the Earth and members of the cosmic collective. By remembering who we are we get to step into the authenticity of who we each are and express ourselves in harmonious connection to the "ALL".
Ceremonial Rituals
Ceremonies help us to to create an intimacy with Spirit. The arrangement of the sacred objects also known as artes, provide the structure and hold the energy of the ceremony. The Artes are befriended by the Mesa Carrier and initiated into this field of sacred ancestral medicine. Once initiated they hold the energies as the curandero operates in the field. It is said that the Mesa is the control panel of the game of life that is a beautiful dance of co-creation.
By performing ceremonies on the full and new moons as well as auspicious occasions and Wednesday night Link-up, we connect in with the grid of Mesa carriers through out the world.
Healing Practices
The Mesa provides us with a stable ground of healing energies and which can increase the potential for healing and transformation to take place.
Each Mesa carrier brings their own particular brand of uniqueness to their medicine field. One of the things I love most about this tradition is in it's ability to include all regardless of your beliefs. You as the medicine are woven into the field of the tradition and you bring yourself in your authenticity to participate in the healing practices at the Mesa.
The Mesa of which I am custodian includes the guides of the Cosmic Dreaming Lodge. These are guides that have come in and out of my awareness for most of my life. In 2020, they made it known that they would like to be represented in physical form on the altar. Because I am an artist, it was a no brainer to represent them in the physical through artistic expression- this is what makes the Lodge a place to heal, dream and create.
